Pearls of Wisdom*
from your friends at ClamCam
Never, ever take or share images of someone without their consent. And if they ask you to delete those images, do it. No questions asked.
Screenshots live forever. If you wouldn’t want someone to save it, don’t send it. And ask yourself if you’d trust that person even if they were angry, bored, or vengeful.
Don’t share private content that was sent to you, even if you’re not in it. It’s not yours to circulate.
Remember the metadata. Screenshots, photos, and videos can carry info like time, location, and device model. Photos taken in ClamCam don’t show location or device model.
Your ClamCam Vault is stored locally on your phone. It stays private and offline unless you’ve enabled iCloud Backup — in which case, your Vault may be included in your encrypted device backup. ClamCam never uploads or stores your photos on our servers.
Even with a private Vault, your phone’s security matters. If someone gets physical access to your device and it’s unlocked, or they restore your iCloud backup, they could potentially access Vault photos. Enable Face ID and a strong passcode to help keep your content safe.
Want stronger cloud privacy? Turn on Advanced Data Protection in your iCloud settings. It adds end-to-end encryption to your backups.
Confidence doesn’t mean sharing it. Sometimes it’s just knowing you looked amazing, even if no one else sees it.
